Mission Statement
Wired Minds Tutoring is committed to rekindling the love of learning that burns in all of us. Unfortunately in many, this fire has faded to a dim glow. Wired Minds comes alongside students to help answer questions, encourage and challenge students, and help keep them focused. With our help, a love for learning can once again burn with a raging passion!
Our Philosophy
We have discovered that there are three concepts that work well together to best educate children. These concepts are to engage, equip, and empower students.
First, engaging a student entails building a relationship with every student in our care to discover their strengths and areas of concern. Engaging the student allows us to get to know the student better so our tutoring can be highly focused. We have also found that because our tutors work on building relationships with their "tutee", our tutors often also function as mentors as well.
The second step in our approach is to equip. Through equipping we discover which tools will best suit each student. By making these tools available to students and explaining how to use them, students can achieve greater success.
Our third step is to empower. An empowered student not only possesses the tools they need, but they also have the knowledge of how to use those tools. Often, this can happen so seamlessly, that the student belives that they and they alone are responsible for reaching their goals and that they have accomplished everything by themselves. The student is then wired for success!
