Q: Is Wired Minds a chain
A: NO!  We are family owned!  There is currently only one Wired Minds Tutoring in the world!  Our goal is to not only be more personal than a chain, but also more professional!  If you ever do not feel super cared for, or that the level of service you or your student receives is not at an exceedingly high level of professionalism, please let us know!  You deserve the best, and we strive to give it to you!

Q: What does Wired Minds do?
A: The long and the short of the answer to this question is that Wired Minds exists to reignite a passion in the minds of local students!  We create an exciting learning environment where we engage, empower and equip students of caring parents to meet and exceed their potential.

Q: Who does Wired Minds help?

A: Wired Minds helps students of all levels reach and exceed their potential.  We have quite a few students in the GT program, as well as a few in special needs classes.  All the rest are “normal” happy kids, who just want to improve!

Q: How do I get started working with you?
A: Pick up the phone and call 864-244-2420 to schedule a new student interview so that we can access how best to help you. During this time you also get to know us, our center and our expectations, and we get to know you, your motivation, and areas of concern. While here, we will have some forms for you to complete should you choose to use our services. If you want to jump start the process you can find them all on this page. Don’t forget to bring them to your first visit though!

Q: Is there a cost for the new student interview?
A: No! We consider this as a necessary part of doing what we do best. We use the information we glean to from this consultation to help us place new students with the tutor that best suits their particular needs. Why should we charge you when the learning is all happening on our end?!

Q: Do you offer help with _____?
A: The short answer to that question is almost assuredly ”YES!”.  However, there’s a slim chance that you may want to learn underwater basket weaving . . . so . . . the subjects on our subject tutoring page are regular offerings by Wired Minds. That said, we do have some pretty fantastic instructors and we are capable of tutoring in other areas.  So, if you are looking for tutoring in music theory, juggling, metaphysics, or Byzantine Greek paleography, we can help! But obviously we can’t tutor everything (think underwater basket weaving) –so just call (864-244-2420) to find out whether we can help you.

Q: Where is Wired Minds located?
A: 1271 S. Suber Road, Greer, SC 29650 See our contact page for more details.  (And please be patient with our map as Google is trying to move our address on their site)

Q: How can I get in touch with my tutor?
A: Call the front office (864-244-2420). We would be happy to connect you to your tutor, and many times we are able to resolve your questions on the spot.  However, very shortly, we will have a new system in which you can send your tutor texts directly!

Q: What if I am not satisfied with my current tutor?
A: Honestly, this is not a frequent question, however, it’s not an impossibility!  If you are not completely satisfied, and we mean COMPLETELY, you are welcome to go somewhere else, or switch to one of our other instructors.  We would be happy to introduce you to a new tutor at any time (and there will be NO hurt feelings.  We promise! Please call us at 864-244-2420 and let us know your concerns. We will address them today!

A: First, we want to thank you for considering this. It is a privilege for us to be able to do the work we do with young hearts and minds. We believe it is worth the investment and welcome your support. Please contact the Center Director through email outlining your intentions. We will be in touch with you as soon as possible!

A: It is Wired Minds’ policy to only support / sponsor teams, clubs or organizations in which current students of our are involved, and from time to time, we have been able to sponsor different teams, clubs, and organizations. Our desire is to be a part of the community! Shoot us an email (barry@wiredmindstutoring.com) with the details of the organization and of what you expect from us and we would be happy to at least consider the opportunity. Thanks for thinking of us!

Q: Finances are tight right now. Does Wired Minds offer scholarships?
A: Short answer: YES! However, because we are in the first stages of actually developing our scholarship program, we are only able to offer a very limited number of scholarships to students and only for a limited duration. We require that you fill out our scholarship application before we can consider your request. In the future, we hope to be able to be much more accomodating of these requests (i.e., as we obtaining grant money and donors). At the moment, virtually all scholarships are offered out of our own pockets.

Q: Why are some of the web pages not working?
A: We have big plans for this website. In fact, we would like to make it a hub for all sorts of useful and interesting resources–including some that are on the distant horizon. Occassionally, we will be enabling and disabling features and pages on this website that are not intended for immediate release. Thank you for bearing with us as we transition to the world’s best tutoring organization!

Q: Can I work for Wired Minds?
A: We are consistently impressed with how many people want to work for us (even for free)! On the one hand, we are flattered and excited by this interest–which shows us that we are doing our job right. On the other hand, we could not begin to consider hiring everyone who applies to work here. However, if you are confident that you would like to work at Wired Minds, you can find more information here!
