Fantastic. I highly recommend them. They have a brand new building. The price is a little high but it’s worth it. This is a very professional tutoring company. Their goal is to build the children’s self-esteem while they’re tutoring them. When they’re struggling in school it’s tough. It’s very unique teaching but they build up their self-esteem and they can do it.
We are so proud of our daughter! Ashley had been carrying a D in Algebra for almost the entire school year. We enrolled her in Wired Minds and can not believe her progress! She has since brought home grades of a 99 and a 102! Not only has she raised her overall grade to a high C, but her confidence is back as well! We are confident she will have a B by the end of the year! We are so proud of her!
Blair had been struggling in math. Her confidence was gone, and she had basically given up on even trying. I enrolled Blair in Wired Minds Tutoring. She went from making “F’s” to making “A’s” & “B’s”. She has seen that she has the ability to do anything. She has confidence now not only in math, but really in all she is doing!
“The incredible difference that [Wired Minds Tutoring] has made in my son’s improvement and confidence in his mathematical skills and his self-esteem is phenomenal. My son has been tutored at other tutoring programs through the years. The one-on-one program which involves the student, parent, tutor and teacher is by far the best program available! Wired Minds is the BEST value for the tutoring dollar—but—please don’t raise our rates I wish that Wired Minds had existed years ago! Thank you Barry for creating Wired Minds. Children can learn, they need someone like Wired Minds to give them the confidence to try!” – Wendy Mumpower Rader
I cannot tell you how happy we are that Sharaud referred us to you. Josh is now a Straight A student in advanced classes. I don’t know what kind of magic you’ve worked but he walked into Math Camp at Wired Minds last August convinced he could not do math, and he came out the same day saying “I get it”. I don’t know how you restored his confidence. But he moved from 5th grade math last year to a quarter of 6th grade math before we moved. At his new school, he had the confidence to go straight into 7th grade math – and he joined the class a quarter into school. He’s now making all A’s. I know some of the credit goes to his teachers at Seneca Middle, but a lot of the credit goes to Wired Minds Tutoring. I cannot tell you the difference in my son. Thank you! I would have absolutely no hesitation recommending Wired Minds to anyone who has a child struggling in school. They will restore their confidence and make learning fun!

Hi Barry! I just thought of a silly and cute saying about what Wired Minds does! Thought I’d send it on to you!
You have taught them that it’s Cool to go to school, but it’s even better to get the highest Letter!”
“Drew got a 93 on both a quiz and a test in Math yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” – Drew’s mom
I can’t express to you how much you have made a difference in Blair’s math grade, she has went from making an “F” to making all “A’s” and “B’s” on her test. She had no confidence and had given up on even trying. Now not only does she feel more confident but believes in herself and believes that with hard work and great people behind her, motivating and supporting her she( such as yourself) she has the ability to do anything. So not only have you helped her in Math but in all that she is doing. Thank you for what you have done in Blair’s grades and in her life. – Blair’s Mom
We used Wired Minds Tutoring for summer camp last summer. My daughter had problems with math but when she started eighth grade she was more than ready because we had her going to Wired Minds during the summer.
AMAZING! I have seen my daughter understand, retain and successfully apply math concepts for about 4 weeks now! Sarah had been struggling to keep up in Algebra 2H. She has always been a strong student and over the course of the first semester became frustrated and disappointed with her lack of understanding and ability to apply what little she did comprehend. When the first semester grades came out, I realized it was time to get Sarah a tutor. I walked into Wired Minds and spoke with Barry. I immediately knew Sarah was going to come away successful. Barry was too passionate about math to allow Sarah to continue to flounder! Wired Minds’ Barry Horst, has helped Sarah not only understand Algebra, but like it!!!! She has brought her grade up to a 94% and now has the confidence to continue to tackle even the toughest problems. Success on all levels is what Wired Minds has brought to my daughter! I recommend Wired Minds every chance I get!…
Thanks so much for the PHENOMENAL job you’ve done teaching my daughter multiplication and fractions. Unlike other programs, Wired Minds makes math fun and exciting. Your creative learning methods ensure that kids truly understand the techniques and not just practice rote memorization. My daughter believes that math is fun. She is truly excited about learning and is more confident than ever!
Thanks for making a difference.
A Very Delighted Third Grade Mom!”
Hi Barry, we have been extremely pleased with Wired Minds. Our daughter has made great progress and has a much better understanding and grasp of Algebra now and we owe all the credit to you and your staff. Thanks so much again for all the hard work and attention you’ve given her.

I wanted to thank you for being proactive in helping Hollie in the eleventh hour of her school year. You could have said that it is too late. Hollie passed by the skin of her teeth with a final grade of 70 in Language Arts and 71 in Social Studies. In fact, I got a call today saying that she needed to take both of those courses in both sessions of summer school to get promoted to the 9th grade. I questioned it, and the lady went back and checked and saw that she had passed. I guess the school administration had written her off too.
It’s one thing to be compensated, but another to be appreciated, and I do appreciate it.
“My daughter wanted me to email you to let you know that she received a 105% on her last math test and for the first time in a long time currently has a “A-” in math (4th grade)! She’s very excited.
Take care and keep up the good work,
Nick really enjoyed working with George last year in Spanish. George made the lessons fun not the same old boring repetition. – Nick’s mom
“Wired Minds has been a great experience for my family. Barry and his team are very personable and make learning fun! My child’s grades have improved over the past 4 months; however, what I like even more is that she is “understanding” what she is learning! Schools lately are under staffed and are not able to provide the one-on-one teaching that some students need. Wired Minds has proven that the full hour my child attends; is a full hour of tutoring. They make it fun, but at the same time your child learns! Thank you Wired Minds for making such a great impression on a young mind. You have made her feel special and confident in herself.” – Vicki Bell
….AFTER 1 SESSION WORKING ON ALGEBRA 2 WITH AYAONA, MY DAUGHTER, WHO’S LAST TEST SCORE WAS A 16, HAS IMPROVED GREATLY; IN TWO DAYS SHE HAS MADE AN 80 AND THEN A 90 ON MAKEUP MATH TEST!!!!
WOW! PRAISE GOD!!!!!!” – ELIZABETH’S MOM
“Last summer we enrolled both of our children at Wired Minds for math tutoring over the summer with the hope that over the summer months they wouldn’t forget what they had learned in school. One went willingly and the other under protest. I am pleased to report that after the first week of school our child who went begrudgingly, said “I hate to admit this, but going to math this summer really helped. I feel like I’m actually ahead of everyone else. I even remember what I learned there.” We were equally as happy with our second child who came home with a 98 on her first high school math test. She even had the highest grade in the class! We were thrilled with their achievements and very proud of both of them! Many thanks to Wired Minds!” – A Thrilled Parent
Have I told you lately you’re the best?
“You are doing a great job. You have really connected with Jason.” – Jason’s mom
“Wired Minds has been so helpful to my child. She was having some difficulty in geometry but since attending the sessions with Ayana she seems to have a better understanding of the process and has more confidence. We plan to organize a study group with Wired Minds for the AP Human Geography exam in the spring. We are sold on Wired Minds and would refer any of our friends who may be having difficulties with their studies. Thank You Barry & Ayana!” – Taylor’s mom
Rebecca has developed confidence with herself that she desperately needed before the beginning of this school year. Her attitude toward math has changed dramatically and it is reflected in her grades.
Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to those you help! – Rebecca’s mom
“Barry – Thanks so much for helping Courtney today! She really had a great time, and is already talking about next week!” – Courtney’s mom
“Thank you so much for all you that you do!” – Brandon’s mom
“You guys ROCK!!!” – Cammy
This is what I wrote for the paper!
Jacob Cohn, 8 and in the second grade at Brushy Creek Elementary School is amazing (and I am not only saying that because he is my son). He is wise beyond his years; however, he does have some learning differences and some issues about liking school or feeling “not smart enough”. He is respectful of others and is a very loyal friend, even to the point that when one hurts him. Academically he has already improved significantly in reading and is a pro at spelling. Our latest issue has been math and raising his confidence and reigniting his love of learning and school along with fueling an interest in reading for fun.
Barry Horst of Wired Minds is incredible. Wired Minds is the needed difference between formal and informal education. Youth have enough pressure from school and testing, homework and grades that the last thing they need is more “school”. Jacob actually loves going to study with Christina, his instructor, each week. His improvements in school both academically and emotionally are the proof. I was beaming when he brought home a week of tests where all but one were an A or even 100. Barry gave him a high five and he really knows how to talk to the kids at their level, but never down to them.
Today Jacob wants to be a fire fighter – scary for me, but a needed and admirable choice that would make us proud.
I just wanted to thank you so much for helping me in my preparations for the SAT. With your help and encouragement, I knew I would be able to succeed in not only my math, but everything I do. Seeing you once a week has helped me increase my score by 80 points to reach my goal. To get my results and see my score made me feel so proud of myself. I am so lucky for having the opportunity to be tutored by you. I hope you and Erin are doing great in your new adventure in life. You two are the nicest people I know.
Barry, I really hope you continue to tutor people and give them the same knowledge you have empowered me with! Good luck with everything, and I’m sure I will be talking with you soon!
Thanks for everything,
